About UsMake a Donation

Canyon Guard, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established in December 2023. Its formation was a direct response to the Utah Department of Transportation’s (UDOT) decision to proceed with the construction of a gondola in Little Cottonwood Canyon (LCC).

The primary objective of Canyon Guard is to halt the proposed gondola project, while advocating for sustainable and effective alternative solutions to mitigate traffic congestion within LCC.

Our Focus

Community Outreach

Canyon Guard is working with the public to promote transportation solutions by engaging them in the process, raising awareness, fostering dialogue, and providing opportunities to make their voice heard.

Legislative Education

We work to build strong relationships and collaborate with policymakers to advance community-supported, cost-effective transportation solutions.

Litigation Monitoring

Canyon Guard is actively monitoring the litigation from three other entities challenging UDOT’s gondola decision, asserting that UDOT failed to comply with federal and state laws. Learn more about their legal action here.
